About the car
The VA-42C is an LMP2 FIA-regulated prototype designed to
race in the 2024 to 2028 WEC championships. The race car was carefully crafted,
following all aerodynamic and technical requirements as specified in the
current FIA technical documents. All aspects have been designed and created
in-house by us at VA-Design and tested on our fluid simulation and particle
simulators, individually and combined, to ensure optimum and accurate performance
data.

Regulations and Innovations
To comply with regulations, we have changed our designs
while maintaining the “VA-Design” aesthetics. While including our curved
sidepods and flowing lines, we kept a similar accented nose cone, ensuring strength
and maximum stability while infusing our original designs. The car`s dimensions
fully comply with the regulations, and all aerodynamic parts are fully
innovative while staying within these requirements and following current performance curves. All parts are purely for performance and ensure an aesthetic of art and
beauty.
Testing and Data
Like all our current models, we tested the entire chassis on
custom-made blender simulators and collected data to improve them and later
models further. This car is no exception to that. While designing, all major
components, including the front splitter, front bumper, wheel columns, front
flaps, undertray, rear wing and outer cockpit (parts affected by air), were
individually tested on said simulations and improved to their maximum
performance while still keeping in regulations. Final tests have also taken place
on the full chassis to collect data for later use and calculation. We are
planning on implementing the car into Unreal Engine for further testing and
on-track running.
Creator Notes
The most advanced model we`ve ever created here at VA-Design,
carefully following the FIA regulations for these cars over numerous months to
ensure quality and performance. We worked hard to create not only a machine optimised
for the track, but also display the artwork that these cars are. We hope you
